Rancho el chorro

In 2016 the State Water Resources Control Board  awarded Rancho El Chorro over $650,000 to implement LID practices such as greywater re-use, stormwater harvesting and rainwater harvesting to assist in water conservation, public outreach and trainings. Watershed Progressive provided planning, project leadership, interpretive design and stakeholder identification and outreach for this project.

IMPACTS INCLUDE

  • 292,000 gallons of rainwater captured annually

  • 850,000 gallons stormwater captured annually

  • 2.5 Acres of Habitat Restorated through wetland creation

  • 9,400 square feet of impervious areas removed

  • 120 gal/day of greywater re-use

  • 4 New Outdoor Watershed Learning Laboratories
